Excel added a new feature a few years ago that makes it super easy to fill lists of things in a different way once it recognises a pattern. This feature is called “Flash Fill” and in today’s first exercise we will use it to unscramble a list of names, add email addresses, extract flight numbers from destination codes and years from dates. The second tip explores the new “IFS” function and the third uses a neat solution to filling downwards in a column. Note: Excel 2019 or Microsoft 365 is required for IFS.
