This course covers the fundamentals of first aid, including its definition, relevant legislation, and employer responsibilities. Participants will learn about the importance of PPE, hygiene, cleaning, and waste management, as well as reporting and recording accidents under RIDDOR. The course also includes primary and secondary surveys, detailing how to conduct them. Additionally, it addresses the symptoms and treatment of various medical conditions such as cardiac arrest, CPR, shock, and choking in both adults and children.
